Re: Birth Control recommendations?

I just started Yasmin and I love it....it also has a dieretic in it so u dont retain water.... i love it, and the doctor told me that most girls only have positive reviews on it...it's not to expensive either - $35 a month.

also remember...EVERY birth control is different for EVERY woman. It just simply depends - talk to ur doctor and just try something out & see how it goes :)

i have been having the same problem with triphasil.. can not find it anywhere.. i took the generic 4 yrs ago trilevlin and had issues... been on triphasil for almost 10 yrs and this past month a month before my wedding i couldnt refill it, I spent 3 hrs calling pharmacies for it, finally tried Wal-mart.. they had some for me thank goodness! i was in tears at the thought of having to try generic again a month before the wedding and breaking out!

Good luck... and remember pills work differently for everyone! that is what stinks! Hope it all gets straighened out soon!

I love love love Seasonale. I have been on it for 2+ years. I only get my period 4 times a year and it is fabulous!

I agreee!! The best pill ever!!

I was on this for almost 2 years and although I loved only getting my period every three months, I had zero sex drive. I couldn't take it any more, so I just switched back to Levora, which I was on for many years before the seasonale.

i personaly really liked yasmin and i have been on alot. my doc just described my yaz (partly b/c of the wedding) which is supposeldy really close to yasmin but lower dosage and you take more active pills so you don't have your period for 6 days.....you prob will get it 2 or 3. but i just started that so i am not sure i can recommend it yet. my doc told me yasmin is the most recommended and used BCP.

Re: Birth Control recommendations?

Honestly, unless someone is a doctor here, I don't know how anyone could recommend a birth control pill (a prescription!) to anyone else. Everyone's body is different that why they make so many types/brands of pills.

I suggest talking to your doctor, inform him/her of the side effects of your current pill and what you are looking for. They will be far more efficient than us giving you 20 different brands of pills since our experiences are only personal experiences.

Good luck!
