i get to go to my fave dr Tuesday and i need to switch my BC. it just is not working anymore or i should say my body is used to it now. i've been on Ortho-Tri Cyclin for 4 years now and am finally getting cramps, my infamous acne back, etc, etc.
i used to be on Ortho-Tri Lo BUT insurance stopped covering it.
Please rec something for me so i can possibly suggest to the doc.
thanks!

Re: birth control recs?
I like Yasmin. I switched once before (to Murcette) and it was AWFUL! I went back to Yasmin after 6 months.

I use Loestrin FE too and haven't had any problems. I used to get terrible back aches w/ my period now nothing!

Re: birth control recs?
First I would find out what is covered by your insurance...I would bring the list to the doctor and tell him to choose it out of the most affordable category for you.

Re: birth control recs?
i have been on the Orho Evra patch for almost 6 years. i am currently in the process of switching to Ortho-Tri Cyclin Lo.
i love the patch however, i suffer from sever migraine headaches so that's why i am changing to a lo dosage. if it wasn't for my headaches i would stay.

loestrin 24! i have not gotten aunt flow for like 3 years. (my doctor said this is normal) which could be a good or bad thing depending on how you look at it i guess. I don't mind at all though however lol

Re: birth control recs?
Be wary of Seasonique. I was on Ortho Lo but switched to Seasonique because I liked the idea of getting my period only every 3 months. However, I've had lots of spotting on it, and i'm in my 10th month already. Definitely going to switch to something else soon.
