Re: birth control - the patch
The patch was awful for me!!! I'm very sensitive to the different hormone levels and no matter where on my body I put it I was sore and swollen in that area. It did not help my cramps at all, they were still painful, if not more painful.

Re: birth control - the patch
I was on this about 4 years ago...I had to stop taking it because it was practically making me bedridden with nausea and headaches. I felt like I had severe morning sickness the whole time I was on it.
I do however, have a sensitivity to birth control, of any kind...but this was by far the worse. I stuck it out for about five months until I could not take it anymore.
Also, I know back then, the patch was associated with alot of major problems...dont know if that is the case now.

Re: birth control - the patch
i was on it for 4.5 years. i loved it because it was super easy to use. however, i am a frequent migraine headache sufferer & my doctor recently realized that i personally was dealing with sever withdrawal during the off week so she took me off it.

Re: birth control - the patch
my new gyno took me off of it 2 years ago because she said there was no point in risking it since the high level of blood clots. but i took it for like 2 years with no problem. the only thing was that it irritated my skin.

Yeah I thought the same thing. Whatever happened, it's been super controversial recently and my dr. advised me at my visit about a month ago to not go for it.

Re: birth control - the patch
My doc won't even prescribe it anymore because of all the issues with it. If you don't want to take a pill try the nuvaring. I LOVE it and have never had any problems with it.
