I booked my hall today and I will be getting married on my birthday.
I know a lot of people find it pretty odd... but I LOVE my birthday! It is CINQO de MAYO! It is a day for tequila and margaritas!
Do you think it is awful to get married on your birthday.
I am not worried about gifts. Rob and I usually combine a couple of holidays into one most of the time and buy practical house stuff. Told ya before .. no romance in that boy..

you are much less selfish than i am - i dont know if i could share my birthday with FH - i am kind of a baby when it comes to my bday
but on the other hand - it is a chance to have a HUGE EXCITING bday party for yourself! How great is that!! You get to see every single important person all on you birthday and you get to party with them all day! I think that is pretty cool!

that sounds like a lot of fun! as long as you're ok with it i say congrats and happy birthday!
your wedding day is my FMIL' & uncle's birthday as well so its a great day

our dating anniversary was the day after my birthday... i kinda liked it like that... two days of celebration back to back!! I think it will be fun to get married on your bday, but i would still make DH celebrate BOTH my bday and anniversary!

I don't think it's awful, I am getting married 3 days after by birthday!!! Combined gifts are better then individual especially since my FH isn't that great with gifts

my wedding is 3 days after FH's b-day and I was already told NO COMBINATION presents...
So you are definitely less selfish then him,...
I think it is fine... You can really celebrate And no one will ever forget you Anniversary

Congrats and I think it's cute.
I actually made sure we didn't get married in March because of my birthday even though we met in March and kind of wanted to do it then...but the actual day we met was like a Tuesday this year...so that helped. But being selfish, I didn't want it near my birthday....cause I'm selfish...and my birthday is not a cool drinking holiday like yours.
DH would've loved to combine my gifts! JERK. I'll have to post it for kicks later how we eliminated every month of the year for getting married and then how we 'settled' on July...we're insane.

I don't think there's anything wrong with it... on my wedding day, I'll be celebrating my birthday at midnight!! My b-day is the day after my wedding!

I think that is great! I wanted to get married on my Birthday (May 13th) but it was booked already, so I settled for the following week....that is cool! Congrats!

I think it is very cool. I wanted to do something like that. My birthday is the 18 of Nov and fh is the 17 of Nov. After thinking about I didn't think it was fair and there a zillion other anniversies in november that we celebrate.

LOL, I got married 9 days after my birthday - it really was the only convenient time. We only set that date after I had my husband sign three contracts in blood stating that if he ever dared combine my birthday with our anniversary that it would be his head on the block.

heh, i'm the opposite of you guys. we're having our wedding in september specifically to avoid birthdays. not that i would normally have a problem with it but we have all of the following withing like 3 months:
hannukah his bday christmas new year's our anniversary (dating) my birthday valentine's day
heh, it gets a little expensive so we figured we'd spread it out a little. otherwise i'd love to have a february wedding. =0P

I'm selfish, I wouldn't do it, but I don't have a cool date like you do. FH's b-day is in December and he grew up getting gyped b/c of x-mas, so we are both sensitive to the issue.
Heck, we've been having a huge debate about attending a wedding this year on my b-day?!?
