Bittersweet...

Our RSVPs are coming in like crazy (we mailed on the 17th and already heard from over 100 people!) but as expected, my school friends are RSVPing 'No'

Now, I *know* it's expensive to pay for flight/hotel/gift/etc but I was really hoping some would make the trip. One friend even told me she wanted to come after I sent out STDs, and asked who else she knew that was invited so she could figure out hotel plans. She was my first 'No,' so I'm assuming that nobody from our circle of friends is coming. It hurts, because a mutual friend of ours [who I have not yet heard from] travelled to another classmate's wedding in May, and it looks like she probably won't be coming to mine... Received a 'No' RSVP from 2 more of my school friends today...

On a lighter note, family and family friends are overwhelmingly RSVPing 'Yes' so at least we'll have some people there!

sorry to hear that ... but try not to think too much of it, maybe some people are just hesitating to travel these days coz of the 'recession' ...

Just hang in there, you never know they just might come!

I hope so! At this point I'll be very excited and pleasantly surprised for any of our non-family OOTers to come

Jen, Debi has been very disappointed with the RSVP response, and I think it has to do with the expense , since most guests were from OOT. She has 74 attending, out of about 150!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At their recent appt. with the DJ, he commented how terrible those numbers were!! And, I noticed college friends of Deb and Fred, have 'moved on'; One of Debi's friends, whose wedding Debi attended in Va. yrs. ago, moved and didn't leave a forwarding address for Debi. Mary MOB
