We fell in love with BM dresses-strapless satin dresses by New Image. Black on top, silver/platinum on the bottom. They come with a satin wrap black on one side, platinum on the reverse. My question is: Is this appropriate for a Saturday day wedding in the fall? Girls would carry black magic roses. Pleae help, I am having second thoughts and have to order soon. Thanks

But the reception starts at 1pm and when I think of black BM dresses, I think evening. Do you think people will think 'how inappropriate'

No matter WHAT you do, SOMEBODY will ALWAYS find something wrong with it. Start singing that song that goes, 'It's my party I can dress how I want to . . .dress how I want to . . . dress how you want to!!'
You DO know that song, right? I say, if you like it, go for it.
There is no right or wrong....if you love the dress and the color go for it. Also, black is classic and versatile....i don't think you can go wrong.

Are you asking because you are having a day wedding? Personally, I am not a fan of black for a day wedding BUT it isn't my wedding. It's yours. You need to be happy.

Yes, I was asking because of the time of day. Any other suggetions for colors on top besides black? I just have my heart set on black magic roses and am limited to this dress' color selection since it was VERY difficult to find one ALL BMs agreed to.

Thanks so much! I am a bit nervous to commit to this scheme, as you can tell. Also considering champagne and black...to lighten it up a little for the daytime. I really appreciate your feedback!

Susanc -the colors are perfect, my flower girls and jr. bms had black on top and a slightly darker pewter color on the ballskirt! Love the dress BTW!
