Black BM dresses in August?

Black BM dresses in August?

So I picked out a BM dress, but then came to find out that one of my BM's wasn't crazy about it....eventhough we all went shopping and all agreed, but whatever I ended up finding a BM dress that I liked better the only problem is it doesn't come in the color I wanted. I wanted wine colored dresses, but since they don't have that color I was thinking of doing black dresses with the darkest pink color they had for sash. I think it would look nice and be flattering, but I don't know is it bad to do black in August? I would have really bright colored flowers and I think it would really pop against the black.

I say, its your wedding, do what you like. If I wanted to do black BM dresses, I would, even in August!!!

Black works in any season and with bright popping colored flowers it should look awesome!

I agree with everyone here.. i think your idea will work great and i love the accenting colors like the sash and the flowers. Go for it!

OK first off .. DO NOT CHANGE what you originally want UNLESS you like the new idea better...

Sorry from my own experience I had the same problem so I let the BM go with me shopping for a dress... she found one she liked, I liked the dress but the color was as far from what I wanted as it could be. The color was a purple but not even close to what I evisioned.... Then the other BM's were like ok we will go with it.... So MOH goes to order it and gets hers.... the damn BM that made the fuss and we changed it for... DROPS OUT OF THE WEDDING. So now I am stuck because my MOH had ordered hers.... So I ended up... everyone same shade different dress... In a shade I HATE..

REMEMBER... Your wedding do what YOU want...JMO

Well this time around I'm just going to look with my MOH because she is always honest with me! I had originally said I wanted a wine color or black so I'm not settling. One of my girls is on the heavy side so I think the black will be a good choice, but if I didn't find another BM dress that I liked better then the BM who said she didn't like it would have to deal!! She is FSIL so its safe to say (I hope) that she won't drop out. I was more annoyed that she didn't say anything at the time, I told them to be honest!

One of my bes friends is getting married this saturday and we are wearing black for the BM's dresses. They are beautiful dresses and she is using pink flowers too. Do what you want, there is nothing wrong with black dresses in the summer, if that is what you want.

Im doing classic black and white in july....im so excited..black is classic...i didnt want to look back at a color 10 years from now and think 'what the heck was i thinkin?!'

Black is gorgeous any time of year. It's the fabric and style you want to be sure won't be uncomfortable . . . . I love black!!

I was originally going to do a wine color as well but for my September 12th wedding. It turns out i changed my mind to a black, white and pink wedding I was afraid to do the blank, white an pink because when you hear september you think fall and colors like red, wine, brown ect. But the girls on this board convinced me to do whatever i wanted because it was my day. So that is what i did. Black BM dresses with a pink sash.........
