i love the look of a black and white wedding!!!! i think it's fine in may, but personally - i would do it for an evening affair, not an afternoon one.

I have a july night wedidng and want black and white and people are saying no way but you have to do what YOU want. Good Luck

I personally dont like a black and white wedding, but a friend did it for her may wedding and it was nice! She loved it! She brought in alot of color through her flowers though!

04bride - i know when my GF used black her grandmother was VERY upset - i think it is an italian superstition or something. i loved being in black - it's the only BM dress and shoes that i get some extra use out of she had us carry bouquets of red roses and the pics are stunning!!! i think the black and white is very classy.

I plan on having very bright colored flowers...gerber (sp)daisies and sunflowers...reds,oranges, yellows, etc...

karen... alot of elder women seem to not like the black...
i was going to do black, but i some of the bp pics i saw i didnt care for it, then again there were some black dresses that looked nice with it

gorgeous dress..
I wore a black w/silver gown as a BM to my brother's wedding.. thank god very slimming.. and it was really nice. I liked it.

I am having black BM's dresses for a Friday night in April. I think it's fabulous! It's very classy. As a bonus, black usually looks good on everyone, and contrasts nicely with whatever flowers you chose. My girls chose a very light, flowy fabric, which I think makes a difference. I think old-fashioned people may have a problem with it, but times have changed!
Stick to your guns, chose what you want.
And BTW, that dress is off the hook!

it's jpsgirl, just can't get on - here is the black bridesmaid dress I used, I LOVED it, the black and white wedding looked so classy, I thought, and the girls can wear the dresses over and over again, and they were able to wear non dyed shoes. The best part was, and I'm not nuts, I paid $45 for them, including tax :). I got them at www.bridesmade.com. I was psyched!
