Is it wrong to wear a black dress to your own shower? the reason I ask because it is on a Sunday and it is in the morning.

if ur worried about the color can wear that dress and brighten it up a bit with a colored shawl or something.. i think its a cute dressand not tooo dressy so it fits the occassion JMO

I think you can wear a black dress to your shower. Who cares! Maybe wear a pair of really cute shoes but in color, not black shoes.

go for it! i wore a black charmuese skirt, black cami and a deep magenta crushed velvet jacket to mine....and i got hot and the jacket came off QUICK!

sorry, personally, I wouldn't do it. I personally think a shower dress should be bright and happy.... if not a light color, at least a bright color or a pattern... An all black dress seems either 'night out on the town' or 'funeral' to me....
we won't even get into what my superstitious FMIL would say if she saw me wear all black!!!!
however, you could always claim you didn't know it was coming!

ditto its ad0rable i would wear it! If your worried about black why not add a splash of color by wearing cute pastel pink, gold, silver, or any other color pumps
