Black flowers - do they exist?

Black flowers - do they exist?

I want black and orange in my bo-k and I have been told by a few people that black flowers don't exist (and to use black magic roses instead) I can't find anything really when I try to Google it.

If I can't find them, maybe I'll just do fall colors and add black accents - maybe black feathers and black ribbon wrapped around the stems....

I had black magic, but I don't think they would go with orange...
You know, a good florist could probably dye them. Or mix fake black flowers with real orange ones.

Bacarra roses are darker than black magic. they have a purplish tint to them.

this is what i am using because against the purple dresses, it really comes out more purple.

here are some examples from my sample...

also i'd suggest burgandy callas - if they pick the darkest ones in the lot, it would be really dark.

Black roses do exist, but they are super-expensive and VERY hard to find.

There are Black Tulips called 'queen of the night' tulips. they are pretty & more reasonably priced.

More interesting stuff...
In reality no pure black flowers exist. The so-called black tulip is actually very dark purple and the black rose is, in fact, very dark red. There are other less common cut flowers which occasionally occur in 'black' forms - they all ooze decadence, mystery, fascination.

you can also do chocolate cosmos which would go beautifully with orange color

I had them in my bo-k (which also had black magic, baccarra, and antique white roses and cymbium orchids)

I could mix in black roses made out of feathers! I saw them at the Renaissance Fair last year. I'll post some from the web:

Woohoo!! I'm going to see the same florist tomorrow!! (Maybe I'll call and confirm)

Why is when I think of black roses, I think of that video 'Helena' by My Chemical Romance?
