I love them. Fh doesn't so we're not having one. Some people think it's an inconvenience but I don't. I think they are really elegant.

I love getting dressed up so I love them but I think it is harder for guys since they dont usually own a tux - can you wear a suit to a black-tie wedding?

If it is Black tie you should not wear a suit.

Black tie Optional/Preferred: you can wear a black suit.

I personally don't like it because it is a inconvinience and now the men have to spend the money on a tuxedo on top of giving a gift in a card, but that is how I feel about it.
