my BB has cracked out. it went off and wouldn't turn on. took battery out, kept it out for like 1/2 hour, and now it will turn on and it's vibrating and stuff when i get emails but i can't 'access' it - if i go to hit a key it doesn't do what it should do. i can't open anything - emails, call logs, apps, etc. its just like the keyboard doesn't work.

When my electronics stop working I drop them. 'Percussive Maintenance' It works about 80% of the time.

Usually taking the battery out helps. Did you drop it? Usually when I drop my BB it acts up like that.

i banged it so hard on the living room table it dented the table.
funny story - when i was in lawschool my computer crashed - like dead to the world, IT couldn't fix it, they told me to throw it away. in a fit of rage, i took the hard drive out, and hurled it at the wall.
whatdya know - it worked and i was able to turn on my laptop for long enough to get all the information off the hard drive and onto a disk.

yeah this has happened to me so many times. I just keep moving the freakin thing back and forth 3893489384 times and eventually it works.....its a complete pain but eventually, it will get back on its track and work

this has happend to mine. I usually take the battery out while the power is still on leave it out for like 1 minute. then put the battery back in and leave it until the hourglass is all done re-booting.
then it usually works again for me. If the track ball is messed up I just keep f ucking with it until it fixes itself. Once it wouldn't come back to life I had to get a new one.

its so annoying and its happened to be like 4x already.....i keep saying I am going to get a new one (i have the curve) but I really don't like any new ones that I see so I am sticking to this one, track ball or not.
one thing I hate about it is that you cant navigate without the trackball......veryyyyyyy annoying. My trackball fell out last year skiing and I couldn't use my phone (aside from calls) for like 2 weeks!

I usually take the battery out blow on the the insides and put the battery back and it fixes it self
also if the tracker ball isnt working right there may be dust or dirt inside .... use Canned Air works wonders.
