BLACKOUT IN THE BRONX...

ON MY FRIGGIN BLOCK ONLY!!! Can you believe that??? 3-1/2 hours...I thought I was going to DIE!!! I can't even imagine how those people from Katrina felt.

Not just there. FH & I had just arrived at a party when he got a call from his job that the power was out and he had to go in to field calls and troubleshoot! We were late to the party to begin with, and everyone was already too drunk to drive, so I couldn't even stay!

I know there were outages in Westchester, Yonkers, Staten Island, but from what I know in my area (Throggs Neck) our block was the only one w/out lights. All of the surrounding blocks had light..amazing. Good thing my godfather works for Con-Ed (upper management). I called him and he called the central office and notified them of the outage..and they told him a team was on their way. They arrived 3 hours later..but..hey..we have power now. THANK GOD..because I just went food shopping today..and would have been furious if the power didn't come back on!! lol
