The walk through didn’t go so well so I am very stressed. The house was frekkin filthy (which I should have expected) and the electric was turned off so now its this whole big thing bc we couldn’t test the appliances or heat so I have to call the lawyer today and tell him we will have to hold money in escrow until we can make sure they all work. Also..there are all cracked tiles that were NOT there in the kitchen and it looks awful and to top it all off, the frekkin kitchen cabinets are two different colors. I guess we didn’t notice when we were there bc it was filled with stuff or the lighting..I don’t know.
So now Im just bummed out because I didn’t expect to have to do so much work on the upstairs. My mom says everything will look a million times better once we paint and clean the kitchen, but I’m pissed about the tile and I know that this will hold off construction in the basement.
**UPDATE**C R AP--- I just called LIPA and due to the power outages that are going on they cant get there until MONDAY. What am I gonna do with no lights and no AC?!?!?!?!?

Aww Jenn don't don't be so hard on yourself. FH and I own two houses,and I know first hand that when you do walk throughs especially if it's not a brand new home the kitchen is the worst place. Usually from the orginal owner moving out. Theres lots of traffic going in and out especially if it's in a open neutral area where you have to pass through constantly. Which is where the cracks came from. nmot to mention you have to think about it, things that covered areas aren;t there naymore b/c they moved out,and removed things.
Your MOm is right once you put your touches on it,and give it your own feel it will be wonderful.
Congrats though hun, I know its a wonderful feeling to own a home

Congrats on yoru new home. Don't worry, it will al work out.
Technically the sellers only have to leave the house broom clean. Which is not very clean.
Sorry you have some work to do, but it will work out.

Buying a house is SOOO stressful!!! After we bought ours, I swore that I never wanted to move again!!!
It will work out dont worry... and you will feel SOOO much better once your own stuff is in the house!!

Ok so Im off to the closing in about 30 minutes. I assume everything will get works out there because I havent heard any news of postponement as of yet.
Im so nervous and of course I decided to eat Mickey D's for lunch so my tummy is tossing and turning!!!
I just hope it all works out!
