Blahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh BC questionnnnnnnnnnnnnnn.... stupid pill!!!

My doctor recently switched me off of Yaz and put me on Tri-Sprintec (birth controls) like 2 weeks ago...

Sooooooooooooooo

Ok number one... why did I gain 3 pounds when I haven't done anything different at the gym or change my (veryyyyyy strict) diet???

Anyone know anything about this pill??? This sucker is the devil. i THINK ITS MESSING WITH ME!! LOL

stupid pill. I should just stop taking it.

Tri Sprintec is horrible, IMO. I went off it right away.

My OBGYN would tell you to wait 3 months with any pill change, then see what's going on..

i don't have 3 months if there is weight gain involved lol i have a huge thing coming up and I need to be at my wedding weight lol.

I hate the pill. i hate it i hate it i hate it!!!!!

I should come off. I hate it. lol.

trisprintec is just a generic version of orthotricyclen. i took it for years and had no issues. obvi everyone is different.

Call your OBGYN. Why did they switch you? TriSprintec is generic for ORthoTriCyclen... maybe, if she's preferring that one for you for some reason, the OrthoTriCyclen Lo would be better for you for some reason, possibly that could make the difference with the weight gain? I'm not sure though so ask her why she chose that one, and unfortunately right now the generic for the OTCLo is unavailable from the manufacturer so you'd have to take brand.

I used to take OrthoTriCyclen Lo for years and one day my legs got there HUGE red welt on them and my ankles blew up... they thought they were blood clots, but thankfully they weren't. But they were caused by that BC...

I've been on Yaz for the past 4 years without any issue... go back to Yaz!

Even though they are generics of something common, they can be very different! I was put on a generic form of the pill I had been taking and it made me lactose intolerant!

The different chemical makeups can affect people's systems in different ways. Talk to your ob/gyn before stopping it...

i switched from Ortho Tri Low to trisprentec a few years ago...t hat lasted for 2 months

gained 10 pounds for no reason,cried at the drop of a dime and had crazy mood swings.

I can ony take the name brand Ortho Tri Lo

Same here. Periods for 3 weeks. Im on nuvaring and I LOVE it!
