FH and I blocked our hotel rooms at the Hampton Inn in Islandia. Thanks to Lesliemike...who posted info about hotelplanner.com. I used that to narrow it down and it even said which hotels are wedding friendly. For you Suffolk girls, the rooms are really nice and it is right off the LIE at Vets highway. I worked with Kelly in sales and she is really helpful and nice. Just thought I'd let you girls know. Another thing done!!!

What is this hotelplanner.com. they do the work for you? Do they compete for pricing too?

It's a website and basically you put in information like the towns you would prefer hotels to be in, price, etc. I had a bunch of them offer bids and it tells you if it's a wedding friendly hotel. Then you can use the other bids to leverage a better rate. I actually lucked out and the rate i got at the hotel we blocked was a few dollars lower than it said online. Otherwise I would have asked that they lower it. It kinda helps you narrow down your choices and get exactly what you want for the best price.
