How far in advance did you girls book your hotel rooms??

I blocked my rooms in September for my August wedding.

Most hotels will let you block rooms a year in advance. We did ours about 10 months in advance.

I just did last weekend. I wanted to put something about the hotel block in my STDs which we are going to send out sometime in the next few weeks.

Depends on time of year - we realized the US Open Golf was taking place on Long ISland our weekend which stinks because any nice hotel near our RH was booked already a year in advance for corporations etc. So I always recommend checking early.

we did ours right before we sent out our invitations. i think we were late on doing this we should have done it earlier.

I did it July, and I'm glad, bc the only 2 major hotels out East by Giorgios are completely booked up already! I hope I have enough

I booked my rooms in September for my October 09 wedding. I wanted to be ahead of the game because there are many reception halls out by Jericho Terrace as well as the mall being right there that I didn't want to worry about it. I have a good amount of people coming from out of town. Do it sooner rather than later if you know it's something you def. need.

I blocked in August '08 for July '09, and I think we still need more!! Ack!!! The hotel I blocked (rumor has it) is filled up on my weekend already, so I don't think I'll be able to block 10 additional rooms. Where else should I look???
