How much is a typical discount for blocking a certain amount of rooms? Can anyone recommend a hotel in the mid-Suffolk area that would give a good price? I had this all taken care of and now my hotel is giving us problems.

The three hotels I looked into all seemed to come out to about a $10 difference per night with the discount. We ended up blocking at Holiday Inn in Centereach since it's closest to my RH. Also looked into Radisson and Hampton Inn in Holtsville.

I blocked at the Hampton Inn in Islandia. Its 119 a night....most other hotels quoted me 130 but the rooms were the nicest I thought.

we blocked at the courtyard marriott in lake ronkonkoma. the price i saw originally was $40 more per night than the price our guests will pay, which i thought was pretty good. we were allowed to block a max of 20 rooms, but that might just be b/c it's memorial day weekend.
