how far in advance would be best???

i would go ahead and block now. it doesn't cost you anything. and your wedding day is v-day so it may be a busier weekend than most.

they probably wouldn't mind doing it this much in advance. i booked my block about 11 months prior.

I blocked mine 11 months in advance as well.

I blocked mine 5 months in advance because some of the hotels wouldn't allow me to do it earlier. However, my FMIL did call several hotels to get information about 10 months in advance. If you can do it now, then go for it - it will be one less thing to worry about when your wedding approaches.

i just blocked mine now- about a year ahead of time, but it is also a holiday weekend.

we did it about 9 months ahead of time - we had nothing else but hotel rooms done then - lol...

the best western east end is 2 weeks shy of a year in their bookings... i booked mine now for next May

I also blocked mine a few weeks ago and I'm getting married in May 2004, so I would do it now.

most hotels allow you to block 12 months in advance. i am getting married in may 04 and blocked mine this may. it's never too early!!!!

I blocked mine a little over a year in advance. I am the week before you. That is a busy time with Valentine's Day and it is also vacation time, kids are off from school. Depending on where your going I would book soon, it doesn't cost a thing.
