Blocking Hotel Rooms/ Wedding Night Hotel

A few questions:

We're considering Marriott in Melville or Huntington Hilton.
(reception is in Massapequa)

Any pros or cons about either I should know about?

We will probably stay at the hotel we block guestrooms on our wedding night. Is there any reason we shouldn't do this?

Is either better for any reason for wedding night?

Does anyone know if either have shuttle service available or to and from reception? or have a company they recommend? Has anyone used it?
