There arent a ton of hotels for us to use in the area of our RH so the one real option we have will be charging $149. Can you negotiate with them for a lower rate since we are blocking so far in advance? Has anyone blocked rooms before? I just think $149 is a lot if you are coming for two nights. I would like it to be more around the $115 and under range because after tax, two nights will run around $350+!! Any suggestions would be appreciated! TIA

Re: Blocking Hotels...
This is for a Hampton Inn. Its not a high end hotel...I stayed at one in PA for a friends wedding last summer and it was $99/nite.

Re: Blocking Hotels...
we were able to get a lower rate for our main place but i think that was partly do to the timing and my banquet manager...its still pretty $ though so i need one more alternative...i havent tried that with other hotels yet, but I plan on asking for a lower rate. Im assuming they woud do it.
