Re: blood test...sorry for preg post again
why don't you just book a physical w/ your regular obgyn. they can do an internal exam. if you are 8wks late, they can tell by now.

There's always a chance that negative results are wrong...you should definitely get tested again..

Re: blood test...sorry for preg post again
i work in a doc. office and to be honest more often then not the urine test usually comes back neg and the blood comes back positive... could the lab have made an error its possible but not def. i would ask them if you can retest just to make sure..also retest on the home pregnancy tests.
goodness danielle i would definatly make an appointment with your regular obgyn. 2 months is a long *** time definatly go get it checked out

ok, here is what i do know
1 - if you think in your head that you are pregnant, and you stress about it, you can give yourself symptoms including stress causing you to NOT get your period
2 - if you take a test and the positive line is very, very light, unfortunately, it may indicate a miscarriage
HTH???

Re: blood test...sorry for preg post again
it happened to me but i wasn't pregnant, so its possible that this is happening and you're not pregnant...a couple of things can cause it...For me its a hormonal imbalance...But there are other causes. But regardless you NEED to go get a blood test and check this out ASAP

Re: blood test...sorry for preg post again
You should definitely get checked out by your gyn especially if you are uncomfortable. Last year i didnt get mine for 6 months, probably due to stress, weight change, or sleeping change at that time.
i felt bloated, fat, nauseous, my boobs hurt (sorry TMI), lots of preggers symptoms. they did urine and blood test then gave me a pill to stimulate my cycle, which worked and indicated my problem was hormonal.
this is very common so i wouldnt worry too much just yet before talking to a gyn that you trust.

Re: blood test...sorry for preg post again
Morning sickness and swelling are NOT definate signs of pregnancy. No periods is NOT a definate sign of pregnancy. Not even urine test and blood tests which test the hormone levels and it is possible for variance. The only way to be sure is to A. See the baby via sonogram and B. Hear the heart via fetal heart monitor.
I also wanted to mention that my friend took a home pregnancy test and it was positive. All other tests were negative including the sonogram! Anyway, it had to do with the position of hte baby because once they set her up again for the test they were able to find the baby and heart rate.
Anyway definately ask for the other tests. 8 weeks would be awhile to not start and lifestyle changes or prenatal care.

I would definitely go to see your GYNO.. He/She would be able to give you answers and piece of mind. If you are pregnant, they should be able to tell since it'd be 2 months. Good Luck!!
