The oddest thing happened to me today while I was shopping. All of the sudden my vision got very blurry. It was as if I was beyond drunk. Anyone else experience this? I only have two weeks left until my due date and no complications at all thus far. Wondering if it was just a fluke, like I needed to eat or something.

Re: Blurry Vision?
I remembered from nursing schhol that that was a symptom of pregnancy induced hypertension. Do you have high blood pressure while pregnant? I just looked it up and these were the symptoms.. Rising blood pressure Protein in the urine Swelling of the hands, feet and face Rapid weight gain of four to five pounds in one week Headaches Dizziness Nausea and vomiting Blurred vision, double vision, spots in front of eyes Excessive drowsiness

Re: Blurry Vision?
Thanks for the info. I have not had one high blood pressure reading throughout the whole pregnancy or any of those other symptoms like excessive swelling or protein in urine, etc. I suppose I'll just take it easy until my doc appt on Friday.

Re: Blurry Vision?
This happened to me when I was pregnant with my son. I was driving and it was VERY scary. It can definately be related to high blood pressure, but I'd call your OB asap and let them know what happened.

Re: Blurry Vision?
I think sometimes something can happen with the pressure in your eyes. My friend always wore contacts, and near the end of her pregnancy they didn't fit right anymore and she had to wear glasses.
I'd check with your OB just to be sure. It's probably normal.

My girlfriend had this and although it is not necessarily a bad sign, it is really important to let the doctor know ASAP. In her case is was Eclampsia (sp?)
