blusher or no blusher?

Original post by Utopia923

I have my whole wedding day ensemble ready to go - except for a blusher.

Are you wearing one? Or just a veil in the back? How important is it to have one these days? I could go either way, but am nervous about the old school people having something to say...

I got my dress, veil, headpiece from the Wedding Center in Commack - and they said they just need 6 weeks to order a blusher if I decide I want one. And that time is fast approaching.

So should I just order one through them and just have it if I decide I want it?

I have a mantilla veil. Honestly, you do not need to have a blusher if you don't want one. It's all up to you and your style.

i think it's a personal preference. if you are leaning towards it then go for it. if not then i wouldn't worry about what other people are going to say. it's your wedding day and you should do what makes you happy.

I'm definitely going to have one though. i'm sort of traditional and would like FH to flip my veil back to kiss me at the end of the ceremony.

In the Jewish religion you have to cover your face for the ceremony. I have a 2-tier veil so I'm just using the 2nd tier as my blusher.

I'm doing a veil but NO blusher. It's just one of those traditions that I'd really rather not do.

I would do what you want and I wouldn't worry about old school people having something to say. If they have a problem, then tough luck for them.

I didn't think I'd get one, but when I tried on my dress, they first put the veil on, and then the blusher. When I saw myself with the blusher, I really felt like a bride, and my decision was made!

I think you should do what you feel comfortable with. Everyone will be looking at your beauty, and not nitpicking or noticing whether you have a blusher or not!
