My sister & MOH is very upset I'm not wearing a blusher- I'm sure my mom and dad are too. But I feel weird with it on the few times I tried it. Plus I have a cathedral veil and I don't like the shorter length vs loooonnngg length look. Should I suck it up for the ceremony?

Re: Blusher or not?
It is completely up to you. I have one because I like the unveiling and I know my father appreciates the tradition of it. Do I feel like I am suffocating behind it??????????? Just a bit...but I really do like the unveiling!

Re: Blusher or not?
I have a detachable two tier cathedral veil. My first tier is a blusher and the second tier is a 118' cathedral veil. They both have rhinestones all over. I still have not decided if I will use it or not (the blusher) , but I like to have the option when the day comes. I know his parents will appreciate it if I wear it. My mother could care less , she just wants me to be happy and see me married finally

Re: Blusher or not?
My mom asked if i was going to do that and i said no because i just didn't want to. I don't think its that big of a deal, its your day and people shouldn't get upset over your decision (in a perfect world!

Re: Blusher or not?
I wore one - I went the traditional way for a lot of aspects of my wedding. I love how it looked in pictures. I also had a cathedral veil - It really wasn't a problem at all!

Re: Blusher or not?
Sometimes I regret I didnt wear a blusher because I like the classicness of your dad lifting the veil. BUT when I tried one on I felt claustophobic and I didnt want to have an anxiety attack on the day of, especilly with all the stress. I am prone to them so I opted out. I stll looked like a bride though!

I have a detachable one, so i can wear it for the ceremony only , you can always have that as an option in case you change your mind last minute
if you don't want to, then stick to your guns about it , it is YOUR wedding.

Re: Blusher or not?
I wore a finger tip veil.. I dont like the puffyness of veils so I went with a single teir that folds in half with lil swavorski crytals at the bottom. and I did wear blusher; at first I didnt want to do it.. but I know it looks really good in the pics.

Re: Blusher or not?
I seriously contemplated not even wearing a veil......but in the end I wore a single tier veil, no blusher for me!

Re: Blusher or not?
My blusher was a separate piece that was attached to a comb that went in in front of my finger-tip length veil. I loved the way it looked and it was only over my face for a total of 5 minutes max (walking up the aisle, dad lifted it, it stayed back and it was off for our pictures right after the mass). It looked great and I loved being 'unveiled.'

Re: Blusher or not?
I did ,because I like the look and idea of a blusher. It flipped back after the ceremony and I liked that it made the veil poufier. I think a lot of people nowadays arent wearing one...its really your decision, not anyone elses.

Re: Blusher or not?
I think blushers look nice, and I used to think I wanted one, but over time I changed my mind. It's just not for me personally because it was annoying me to have something in front of my face like that, and I felt like I couldn't breathe - even though it's like mesh, haha.
If you don't feel comfortable wearing one - then don't. Don't do it just because other people like it. You're the one that needs to wear it and like it, so do what you like best!

I did not wear it. I was freaking out enough without having that in front of my face

I loved having a blusher.. I did however only wear the blusher for the ceremony- I had them velcro it to the comb on the veil so that right after I took it off and just wore my veil.
I love the part of weddings where the bride is 'unveiled'- I would do it and just have it detachable.

Re: Blusher or not?
I have always dreamed of wearing a veil. I think it is so beautiful. I think I had a better time trying on different veils than i did wedding gowns.
