(sorry in advance that this is long!) As of today we have 7 guys (1 of which is my friend) and 6 girls...I banked on the fact that FH's sister would want to be in it, but she doesnt (she lives far away) So now Im stuck with a spot.
I have a friend who I lived with before moving to another state last summer. Shes sort of my good time friend. Great to party with and thats about it. I know she thinks shes a great friend, but shes not. Shes self-centered and never really there when you need her. On top of the fact that she has not come to visit me once in over a year or barely even called me unless shes having a problem. Now that Im moving home in 2 weeks she sends me this whole Im so glad we are friends card (basically trying to get back into my good graces) I know shes assuming she is in the wedding, but shes not.
I also have a 2 friend pair. I would ask one of them but it will cause HUGE hard feelings to ask one and not the other.
I dont know what to do. I dont want to have someone just to have them. I dont want the good time friend in my wedding but dont want to offend her 100% (since Im guessing shes assuming she is in it) by having an empty slot for a BM & I dont want to offend the 1 girl of the pair that I dont ask. WHAT DO I DO?
I know Im going to make someone mad, but its so hard. Im about ready to go elope

Does it really bother you so much if your BP is uneven? Leave how it is. There are plenty of girls that have uneven BPs. Don't just put someone in to make it even. That way no one's feelings get hurt.

Hummm...... Can you have two groomsmen walk with the MOH? If they are not in your heart to include them in your BP then for now keep it as is, you still have enough time that maybe in the next couple of weeks you can decide if you want one of the 3 girls you mentioned above.

Personally I do not think a BP must be even...I really do no think it will make a difference and the bonus is you only are including people who really matter to you an FH...and I have been in BP's where its uneven and pics look nice with 1 girl and 2 GM or vice versa

It's not an empty spot if you don't want to fill it. And if kind of sounds like you ARE filling it just to fill it. I would just leave it as it is now, 6 BMs and 7 GMs... that way everyone's feeling and your sanity are spared.

the last 3 weddings i went to all had uneven bridal parties....and not just 1 or 2 people...like 7 bm's and 2 groomsmen, etc....and it was totally fine...the way they did the processional, pics, everything still worked out! follow your gut to get what you really want!

two things... I ALWAYS say... when you try to make everyone happy, no one is happy...so, if you do what makes you happy, at least one person is happy!!!

We have 5bm's and 6gm's, My moh is Very excited to have 2 men on her arm and then one of the Gm's will dance with his wife for the bridal party dance.
