I have a good friend getting married about a month after me. She sent me the link to her wedding website so I could check it out and on it she lists her wedding party --- EVERYONE from our circle of friends is in it except me! I am sort of upset... it's not like I thought I was going to be a BM or anything, but I didn't think everyone else was going to be a BM either. And I can't stop thinking about how lonely the wedding is going to be for me and FH, because we will be alone for the ceremony, and probably eating alone during the reception because the BMs will probably all be seated together at one table.
Part of me thinks it is retaliation for her not being a BM in my wedding. But she knows that I am not having a bridal party at all, only my sister as my MOH and no bridesmaids or anything else.

Re: BM DRAMA
Is something in the air??? Im having issues with one of mine...
Maybe she didnt ask you because she thought it would be too much stress for you to have your wedding, then weeks later be a part of hers.
Talk to her, see whats up...that's what I would do.
You know, an added note, close friends can be petty when it comes to weddings.

Re: BM DRAMA
I've heard of girls not using girls who are married in their BP . . . but she should at least let you know. Maybe she'll seat you with your friends anyway. I've been to lots of weddings where they seat the BP with the rest of the guests and dont keep them separate.

Re: BM DRAMA
I'd call and see whats up. I mean if your whole circle of friends is in her wedding, but you aren't, there's obviously a reason. Your most likely right, she's probably upset that you didn't have her in your wedding, but maybe there's some things you two need to talk about instead of just letting both of you let your feeling go in the wrong direction..have a heart to heart..it'll be worth it!

Re: BM DRAMA
Maybe shes thinking it maybe to much for you since you are getting married a month before. Maybe she was just trying to think about you financially at that point. OR Maybe she thinks because you are busy planning your wedding that it may be to much for you to deal with a BM dress & all that other stuff too for her. Dont think the worst yet. Maybe you should say oh wow all the girls are in the BM party thats great & see what she says from there. Also ask who she thinks she may seat you with since all the girls are in the party. Just ask who cares.

Re: BM DRAMA
whether it's because you are getting married so close to her or because you aren't having her in your BP..... she shouldn't have asked your entire circle of friends without even mentioning it to you.. it would have been nice if she could have sat down with you and explained about the bridal party...
but try not to worry...... youwill be in overload with your wedding stuff then anyways........and you and FH will have a good time no matter where you sit

Re: BM DRAMA
After I started planning my wedding i began to REALLY see who my TRUE friends are. Don't let it get to you. Concentrate on your own beautiful wedding

Re: BM DRAMA
It could be because she felt uncomfortable asking.... I know my cousin had no BP and I was so nervous asking her to be in mine

Re: BM DRAMA
I know it makes you feel left out but honestly, do you really want to be in somebodys wedding that doesn't want you. I wouldnt even ask her why because it doesnt matter, she made her decision. i would just move on with my planning.

Re: BM DRAMA
they may all be drinking the same water as the girls from my BP - but i would just think how wonderful it will be to not have to worry about the added expense of being in her BP.. so cheer up

Re: BM DRAMA
i totally understand, one of my friends got engaged after me and is getting married before me. I didnt ask her to be in my bridal party b/c she lives in NC and i figured she wouldnt want to b/c she was telling me how money was going to be tight and such, and then my other friend asked me if i was a bm in her wedding b/c she is...i said no i didnt kno she asked ppl already. I was kind of hurt b/c all the other girls were asked and not me...so same situation as you. Im hurt too but in the end im gonna save some money for my wedding and i'll still be there so i figure yeah i'll be eating alone but ill be dancing with them all night neway.

Re: BM DRAMA
I know you are probably feeling a bit hurt. But think of the money issue and all the BM responsibilities you would have while worrying about your own wedding. You dont need the extra stress. I wouldnt worry about feeling lonely at the ceremony, its not that long anyway. And you dont know for a fact that they would be doing a dais for the bridal party. Maybe they will just have a sweetheart table (since thats more popular now) and you would sit with your friends.
One of my BMs is getting married in 2 years. She is not having a BP either, just MOH and BM. I am not offended at all that I am not in it.. Its her decision what she wants to do, and at the time we'll be looking to buy a house and possibily move upstate, so it all works out.

Aww.. I had this happen to me recently with a friend I thought I was close with...went to book everything with her because her fiance is in iraq, traveled all over with her... and when it came time to picking, she chose girls from school over me...The only thing i can think of is that theyre skinny? I dont talk to her much anymore
