BM Drama from Bachlorette Party - LONG

Sooo we just got back from my bachlorette party in Miami for 5 days!! It was a greatttttt time - my girls are the best other than one big issue. So this girl I have known for 12 years best friends - seriously has depression issues and wont get help. Pretty much in a nut shell she sat in the room the whole time didnt come out every night and threw a **** fit when me and the rest of the girls went to a somewhat expensive place for dinner 1 night. She said she couldnt afford it and stayed with another girl who was with us and meet other people we knew down there instead - perfectly fine. Or so we thought.

From that point forward she ignored and wouldnt talk to us the whole time. She was on the phone with her BF for the last 2 days - flat out talking about us. I was so mad I said something since we all could hear her. She FLIPPED told us all we were fake b!tches, called a few other girls h0es. She pretty much called us every name in the book and left. Went to the airport alone and everything.

Shes in my BP. She was texting me to give her the money back for the dress cause shes out and doesnt want to be part of the fake b!tches before the airport. I didnt respond. I made her change her seat on the plane b/c I wouldnt sit with her. Now, like I said, Ive known this girl for 12 yrs. its upseting but Im really hurt and pissed off by what she did to me and the other girls and I dont know what to do

wow I am so sorry that she did that to you- she sounds lke she really needs to talk to a counselor or something. I would say dont give her the money for the dress- but honestly if it were me, I would give her the money- it could be the best money you ever spent to get someone like her out of your life.

If it goes that far - Im not giving her the money back - no way. I didnt make her leave or act like a damn child. I'm upset b/c we are realllly good friends and I care about her. But I am so mad and hurt by what she said and did that I dont know if I can talk about it with her. Part of me wants to forget her forever and the other part wants her to understand what she did.

I somewhat agree with this...my first instinct is to tell her to forget it and not give her the money...but if you give it to her then she can be out of your way and not ruin any more of your wedding plans! How awful she did that! You might be blessed to have had this happen now rather then at your wedding!

Wow...its funny how its always the ones that are closest that does this...Unreal.

If it was me I would call and ask what the hell happened that night to tick her off like that? And just confirm if shes out of the wedding, if she is I wouldn't even inviter her to your wedding.

Sorry you went though this.

I know she would totally still be in it. I know it but I dont see why I should have to just let what she did go. PLUS all the other girls pretty much hate her now and dont want to be around her. Do I really need this drama at RD or reception????

Yikes. It sounds like she has some serious mental problems...
While I agree with you that you did nothing wrong, and normally I'd say don't reimburse her a dime, I think 'paying her off' might be the best thing. Give her her $$ back and let it be the end. It s^cks that such a longtime friendship is over, but she brought it upon herself..

something must have set her off, something must really be bothering her other than 'fake biotches'...

i think that if this was my friend of 12 years, I would really try to get down to the bottom of it. is something else going on in her life? what is adding to the depression?

its hard to be the bigger person in this situaiton but who knows, might change a life in the process .... good luck!

Like I said, she is depressed. We went to the beach every day and out every night and she pretty much needed something to complain about. So when we continued on with our vacation instead of wallowing in the room with her - she freaked

Normally I would say just forget her and move on but being that she is a friend of 12 years I think I would try to talk to her about it and see how she reacts. If you still get a bad reaction out of her at least then you know you tried and there is nothing you can do. I'm so sorry you went through that aggravation during your bachelorette party, sounds like she just needs attention or maybe she is jealous, whatever the case you might want to see what it is if her friendship means that much to you.

i understand the depression. maybe you can plan a dinner with her, talk to her. help her find someone to talk to. maybe you can be the difference she needs - someone to take the time, it seems like no one else is.

i have a family member who has been severely depressed for 5 years, we all knew it and we all danced around it. it finally came to a breaking point and that individual finally admitted it and is seeking help. I wish I had a conversation with him years ago - maybe the last 5 years wouldnt have been so painful.

take a step back and re-evaluate. she is a best friend of 12 years, play the best friend role here instead of the bride...

just my opinion good luck

if she wants out then there is no reason for you to return her money - if you kick her out then you need to give her the money - Perhaps an intervention of sorts is in order to get her to seek help.

there has got be some other issue that was lurking under the surface...if its an important friendship to you, try to talk with her and work it out. otherwise, maybe you've learned what kind of friend she really is.

I think your right. I will try to talk to her and if she turns down the opportunity for help than there is nothing I can do but let it go.

But Ive got to get her to apologize to everyone else as well. Everyone hates her now and doesnt want to be around her.
