BM Drama from Bachlorette Party - LONG

Original post by Bride908

Sooo we just got back from my bachlorette party in Miami for 5 days!! It was a greatttttt time - my girls are the best other than one big issue. So this girl I have known for 12 years best friends - seriously has depression issues and wont get help. Pretty much in a nut shell she sat in the room the whole time didnt come out every night and threw a **** fit when me and the rest of the girls went to a somewhat expensive place for dinner 1 night. She said she couldnt afford it and stayed with another girl who was with us and meet other people we knew down there instead - perfectly fine. Or so we thought.

From that point forward she ignored and wouldnt talk to us the whole time. She was on the phone with her BF for the last 2 days - flat out talking about us. I was so mad I said something since we all could hear her. She FLIPPED told us all we were fake b!tches, called a few other girls h0es. She pretty much called us every name in the book and left. Went to the airport alone and everything.

Shes in my BP. She was texting me to give her the money back for the dress cause shes out and doesnt want to be part of the fake b!tches before the airport. I didnt respond. I made her change her seat on the plane b/c I wouldnt sit with her. Now, like I said, Ive known this girl for 12 yrs. its upseting but Im really hurt and pissed off by what she did to me and the other girls and I dont know what to do

omg, so sorry you are going through this! i went through something very similar after my bach-party as well! my MOH flipped out because she wasn't being paid attention to and we were supposedly 'ignoring' her, she gave us the silent treatment as well. when we got back to NY she went off on me telling me i've never been a good friend to her etc, needless to say, she is no longer my MOH. the way i see it, you are probably lucky to have her out of your life, you do not need this stress, especially before your wedding!

that really sux, sorry you had to go through that. If she wants out of the wedding, thats her problem, you don't owe her anything!

Yikes. It sounds like she has some serious mental problems...
While I agree with you that you did nothing wrong, and normally I'd say don't reimburse her a dime, I think 'paying her off' might be the best thing. Give her her $$ back and let it be the end. It s^cks that such a longtime friendship is over, but she brought it upon herself..

I agree. Normally I would say try to help her but she went too far. She sounds jealous if you ask me.

I probably wouldn't have wanted to share a seat with her either.

I have some BP issues, but I try to remember that I chose them for a reason and I am started to let things roll off my back.

I would not respond to her ridiculous request. I will bet she will regret it. Let her be humbled by her own animosity.

I would suggest you plan on her not being there and be happy when she is.

just my 2 cents

Just an update: I sent her a HUGE email last night pretty much letting her know how completely wrong she is, all the things she said about everyone, and that she needs to apologize to each and every person on that trip. That I think she is depressed and I am willing to help and pretty much if she doesnt agree than thats fine by me too. It wasnt as harsh as this short story - but I def got the point across so we will see what happens

Holy high school.

Don't giver her money back.

Just put it down in your life experiences book and write off her friendship. You don't need that kind of person in your life, let alone wedding.

You can't help a person that doesn't want to be helped.

Thanks. I absolutely know this but after 12 yrs I cant just drop her. If she doesnt want to be helped I can just wash my hands and not be bothered. Im afraid she will say shes sorry and not change - I guess then I will just distance her...
