When should I have the BM dresses ordered by if my wedding is September 1? Also, when should FH look into tuxes?

I am getting married in August and I didn't get BM dresses picked out yet, I think in the next 2 weeks I will get that done, and as far as tuxes we will prob do that in April, I hope you are not late because then i am screwed!!!

I was told most BM dresses take 2 or 3 months to come in, then figure 1 month for alterations, so I think you're fine.
For the tuxes, everyone says they can do that just a few months before the wedding, so late spring should be fine for you.

BM dresses vary from designer to designer, so you'll just have to pick one then ask what their delivery timeline is.
For tuxes, we went last week and they told us to call back on April 1st for the fittings to be scheduled. Then they pick them up a day before the wedding.

My wedding is September 1st too!
I ordered my BM's dress on 01/27/07 they are Bill Levkoff and take up to 5 months to come in. At this rate, they should come in May or June.
All of the GM's live out of town and we are asking them to send measurement cards and deposit by May 1st.
