Anyone's dresses photograph a different color than the actual mateerial (I mean really different)? Like hot pink looks really red.
If yes who was the designer?
ETA The reason I ask is because I picked two colors I liked a raspberry and a fuschia. My photographer offered to do a test shot for me with the swatches. They came out completely different. Both look red! Really red!

Is the dress taffeta? I heard that taffeta tends to photograph differently.

I think with those colors you will be okay. A friend of mine was in a wedding recently where they wore a greyish color. It photographed terribly. WIth brighter colors, though, you should be okay.
ETA - I don't remember the material... I think it was satin, though.

The material is satin. My photographer photographed the swatches and they look red.

My girls wore raspberry (Mackenzie Michaels 'Nuraz' color) and they definitely photographed true to color. Here are some pics...lots more in albums.

we had Bill Levkoff Euro Red and it photographed pretty true to color. PIB
I think with the brighter colors you shouldn't have a problem.

Re: BM Dress Color (prob more for past brides)
mine were a deep red ( it was called european red)...a really rich deep pretty color. In the pro photos that the photographer took they looked really nice, but in some of the pics that family and friends took they look almost like a bright orange! i didn't care 'cause the pics from the photographer came out great! i guess it just depends! mine were a Bill Levkoff line.... but i think it depends more on the camera & flash & stuff than it does the dress itself.

ps - my dresses were satin too - but again, they were fine!
