My question is: How much are your BM dresses costing your girls and how much are the alterations? (post pics if possible)
I'm looking at a dress that is approx. $180 with $55 alterations and I'm wondering if I'm asking too much from my girls. Between the dress, hair, makeup, shoes, and a present, weddings are such a financial burden for BMs!! But in truth I'm not sure I'm going to find any dresses that are all that much cheaper. Just curious what others are spending. Thanks!

how does it work exactly with phyllis? do you go online and order and then go to the store for alterations? i am confused bc everyone always says shes online and at the store. do you get the discounted dress price at the store??
yes, the store and the online site are basically the same company, she just advertises as 2 different things. The name of the site is just different from the store name.
You will get the same price from her either way.

You may also want to try netbride.com. The dress that I like is $160 at the bridal store, but only $112 off of netbride, plus you don't have to pay tax.

I'm (eventually) going to go to Phyllis' store, cause she quoted me $127 for my BM's dresses; the same dress was quoted at $169ish at Renates, where I bought my dress, and was $200 at Bridal reflections in Massapequa... in my experience Bridal Reflections is always overpriced....

My BMs dresses were $110 at RK Bridal. At other stores, they were priced around $150.

$180 at Lillette's where I bought my dress. Alterations are $70 (no matter how extensive) but the girls can, and probably will, take them elsewhere for cheaper.

I got my BM Dress and MOH dress where I purchased my gown ( Macy's). The girls got 15% off. Don't know how much alterations will be yet.
Here is a pick of both dresses (Will be in black). They came to only $150 Both are by Jordan
My BM dresses were $129 at Bridal Suite in Centereach. The girls LOOOOVE the dress. It's a local LI designer so I think that helped with the cost.

just spoke with phyllis's daughter at gownfind and she gave me a price for the BM dress for $138 and an alteration cap at $55!! Thats about 30 bucks less than the cheapest I found. I think i will be going there!

my bm dress i beleive are 168 from davids bridal. 4 of them only need a hem i told them to go where they want just not there we just want this dress from them because i canot find it anywhere else, my girls are in black
I'm getting mine from Phylis of Bridal Elegance. Mori Lee 335 $100.00 for the dress and I think maybe $50 for alts.

i wish i could find a dress that cost under 200!!! We went to Bridal reflections in carle place last night and the BM dresses are 250, $55 or $65 alterations... and JR BM dreses were 230!!!! W T F?!?!?! Is it just bridal reflections thats suuuuper expensive? It seemed as though 200 was the minimum!!

I am getting my Jim Hjelm dresses from VAlentina's- in Brooklyn
I forgot how much the dresses were- I believe $200ish with FREE Alterations ... and i believe I will get $10 off as well.

Cee- okayy, this is getting scary... my BM dresses are from Jim Hjelm too!!!!! they are in my album. BM is wearing Mocha and MOH is weraing papaya. you must be a long lost sister or something, for real.... LOL.

My girls are wearing the same dress (except in pink!)... also they get $20 off because I bought my dress there so it's just $90. For alterations they can go wherever they want..
