BM Dress Drama

BM Dress Drama

I called Burtons earlier in the week to see if my BM dresses were in b/c I have to ship them to my OOT girls. I go to pick them up yesterday, and I knew I had to inspect them very carefully since once they're out of the shop they are my responsbility. Both dresses were STAINED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Carole and Karen were nowhere to be seen and I started flipping out. The girl who was there ran downstairs since apparently Carole was doing flowers. She came up and didn't see what I saw. She called over the seamstress - who luckily saw exactly what I was looking at - a HUGE black water stain on one dress, and 5-6 little white spots on the other dress.

Luckily, the seamstress was able to clean both dresses, but now they smell like the chemicals used to clean the dresses. I'm hoping they will air out and the smell will go away.

I can say that from looking at the dresses, the stains were clearly the fault of the manufacturer - Impression Bridal - and not Burtons.

ugh how annoying. you would think the shop inspect the dresses when they get them in. good thing the stains came out!

I think so too. But it still sux that you even had to deal with this. Didn't the store inspect the dresses when they came in?

I have no idea, but the woman that I usually deal with couldn't see them when I pointed them out - she had to get the seamstress who DID see what I was complaining about.

I worried about my MOH's dress. Since she is in NY I wasn't picking that one up and it was in storage so I couldn't inspect it. They're pulling it out for me to inspect on Tuesday.

Good idea, definitely go back and make sure her dress is okay. I'm sorry you're dealing with this nonsense.
