BM dress question

BM dress question

So my girls narrowed it down to 3 dresses.

My MOH is partial to one because it has a corset back, and she is worried about her boobs. The problem is that I, and 2 of my BMs don't like that actual dress. And my MOH doesn't want to wear a different dress than them, so thats out.

My question is, can a dress be made into a corset? Or if not, whats the best way to keep a strapless dress securely on for a girl with big boobs?

I feel bad because I want her to be comfortable but no one else really loves the dress, and I don't even think she would like it without the corset!

Firstly, I can appreciate that you care so much about what your girls think, and I also think that girls should be 100% comfortable. But this is YOUR wedding, and your decision. If you don't like the dress, move on to another. She can always get cups put in or buy a corset to wear underneath. It's not her wedding... it's yours! Nothing wrong with letting a little b-zilla out :)

Re: BM dress question

my sister has big boobs as well and in the end i want her to be comfortable because she is paying for her own dress.

if i was paying then i would make her wear what i want. but she cant wear strapless (and it doesn't even matter what bra she gets because its always falling). so in the end i will choose the color and length. the girls will choose if they want straps, sleeveless. or strapless.

Re: BM dress question

ONe of my BM is super busty!!!! So a lot of the dresses she had to try on first to make sure her boobs were ok. At first they really liked a corset dress I was not crazy about...but we ended up finding one everyone loved that was strapless, but the neck was a little higher so the girls weren't hanging out, and it had some rouching underneath....and my BM with the big ladies felt comfy in the dress

Re: BM dress question

My BM dresses I chose are strapless and they came with sashes which we will NOT be using.

One BM is super busty so her dress will be made into a halter using the extra fabric from the sash.

My Junior BM is getting spaghetti straps adding on hers.

and my MOH is doing off the shoulder cap sleeves

The 2 other BM's are keeping them strapless.

I agree with Hartley 100%, this is YOUR wedding and YOUR decision. Yes, she is paying for the dress and you want her to be comfortable, but it seems like you have a little time to figure this out... I had a girl in my bridal party with HUGE boobs...my BM dress was strapless..I wanted her to be comfortable, so I paid for straps to be put on...and she even offered to take them off for pictures....maybe thats an option for u? If this is not ok, keep shopping, find something you all are ok with...especially you! :)

Re: BM dress question

There are a lot of dress lines that come in the same color/fabric/length. I have my girls wearing amsale dresses and since they are all different shapes and sizes... like all women, I let them choose from 5 different dresses...

And you know what! They ALL chose the SAME dress... go figure! ha

good luck mama!

Can she have straps added to the strapless dress...so that even th they have the same dress, she as MOH is a little different and comfortable?

Re: BM dress question

My MOH is the one who is dead-set against having different dresses. I could care less lol.

That is a good question about adding straps! It is a sweetheart so i'm not sure how it would look so it can't hurt to ask.

The funny thing is she was against strapless at first but when we all went, the only dresses she was pulling were strapless! lol

I've heard that if you get a corset sewn into a strapless dress that it fits much better than just wearing the two separately. See if you can find a seamstress who would do it.
