BM dress - right choice?

BM dress - right choice?

I went yesterday to order BM dresses with my girls and was pretty sure I wanted something from Amsale and in either dark purple or navy. I don't have set 'colors' but am trying to figure that out. Its a spring wedding in the botanical gardens, so I was worried navy would be too drab, but it looked really pretty on the girls. I chose eggplant but have until this morning to change my order before it gets confirmed. SO, if you can let me know what you think I'd really appreciate it. I am posting the pic below, but the dress is full length and the straps come off. I will post another pic of my dress also so you can see how they would look together. Thanks!

i love the bm dress! its nice and flowy (if thats a word!) so I think it fits into spring....I would just do light or bright colored flowers to compliment it for the spring time.

Love the dresses! I think the eggplant is a beautiful color. Does it fall into your color scheme?

thanks for the responses!!!! the only thing I haven't booked yet is flowers, so I am not locked into a particular color scheme at this point. I was thinking of using the purple and incorporating it into the flowers a little and other decor (along with some white and celadon). do you think its a better choice than the same dress in navy? I liked the light flowy fabrics together bc it matches my dress, and its in a garden so that works, but its also evening and black tie optional so I want to make sure the whole look works. thanks again!

That dress is amazing! I definitely love eggplant more than navy. Also, the BM dress compliments your dress PERFECTLY! I definitely love both dresses and wouldn't change a thing.

i love the bm gown
the color is awesome!! im getting married a week before you and im having my girls in aubergine which kinda looks like eggplant.

oh and the bm gown goes great with your gown

As long as it looks good on the BMs, I think that dress compliments your dress beaaaaaaaautifully. I just know that I can never pull off an empire waist .

I really love it! I think eggplant or navy would be great - my girls are wearing navy and I think my mom is going to wear eggplant - I feel like staying in that jewel tone family will tie everything together.

thanks again everyone! You are convincing me that I made the right choice and I am going to call soon and confirm the order. its the exact style shown in the picture, just the longer version. I loved it and the girls loved it - especially bc it was comfy! I love navy too and would have been my choice in more of a ballroom setting but I feel like I should incorporate some color because of the outdoors? I never wear colors so this was a tough decision for me! Also my mom is wearing dark brown so I wanted to make sure it all goes.... thanks again!
