so i still haven't went bm dress shopping yet..i have ideas of what i like..but in your opinion..whats the absolute longest I should wait? should i start now?

I'm getting married 2 weeks before you. I went in September. They will be ordered at the end of this month. Everyone got measures and I am waiting for only 1 deposit. The girl at BR told me that the absolute latest they should be ordered is March but I will order them at the end of this month.

Honestly, BM dresses do not take long to come in at all. For both August 2007 weddings I was in, the dresses were ordered in December of '06 (with 8 months to go) and were in by February....they come fast (from Bill Levkoff and Dessy at least).
However, since you have a summer wedding and there is ALWAYS the chance of delay during the busy season, I'd say the latest you should wait is until mid-January until the end of January...that'll give the company 7 months to dye, ship and for your shop to get them in time for at least 2 alterations each. Always remember, getting a group of girls together for fittings is near impossible! lol

Well I think Im going to start lookin this month and my wedding is a few weeks after yours. I plan on bringing my 2 MOH and having them try on everything.. then maybe ill be able to narrow it down. But I would probably start my lookin soon...

I would start looking and get an idea what colors/style you would like for them and maybe start the shopping somtime in Jan when everyone is back on a reg schedule for the holidays
