How far in advance did you start looking for BM dresses? What if some friends in your BP might become pregnant? Do they have to order last minute or order a bigger size just in case?
I already know the few dresses I like don't come in maternity...

This is a tough question. I'm getting married in Nov and I decided to start looking b/c I knew it was going to take time finding the style I wanted and the price I wanted to be at. It doesn't hurt to start looking now. We are ordering our dresses in May. As for possible pregnant bm's, I think it depends on the dress bc some designers have different lead times. I think the std is 6-8 weeks. My friend had a baby & since then has lost a lot of weight so she was able to return the dress and get a smaller size but she is cutting it super close. I would talk to the stores about return policies.

lol I actually have 2 girls in my wedding party that are pregnant. One is due end of April and the other is due beginning of June. I called the dress shop and they said they would just need 6 weeks to order the dresses but I'm probably going to have the girls go in July

I was told it takes 3 to 4 months for them to come in after the order is placed with the designer. I have a few girls who ordered a size bigger in case of becoming pregnant.

im concerned about finding the dress and matching my colors! may start sooner rather than later. didnt even think about maternity. hoping no one is pregnant. lol.

I guess we will order in Nov/December of this year....at least possible preggers could only be potentially 5 months pregnant and not super huge

I shopped around and had an idea of what I wanted. Then I got a call from the salon I ended up using telling me about an upcoming sale. We ended up ordering about 8 months before the wedding to secure the sale prices.
If you are looking to order on Nov-Dec, check out the bridal salon in the Macys in Smith Haven Mall. That's when I caught the sale. It was like a certain percentage off each BMs dress (they would have included MOH & MOG dress if they had ordered theirs too). PLUS we used a Macys credit card to buy the dresses so it was an addition 10 or 15% off. Saved some $$$
