BM dress situation: MOH might bbe preggers at the time of our wedding....

Over the weekend, my MOH/SIL told me that she might need a maternity BM dress for the wedding. She's currently not pregnant, but they are 'not, not trying'. Originally, my girls were all wearing the same dress and my MOH was going to wear a different dress (my fav dress that all the other bm's hated). They are all Bill Levkoff in tissue taffeta. I thought we should order our dresses by mid-June. Should I order the other BM's dresses and wait for her and do hers as a rush order? I am not too worried about the colors matching since they are taffeta.

Anyone else have a similiar situation? How are you handling this? i feel like I have to start over with the bm dress search.

I had the same situation with my MOH, she wasn't preggie yet but was trying...Since we had already settled on the dresses, that being hard enough..I really didn't want to start again : ) We ordered the dress to fit her now (I think a size up actually) and also ordered extra material that way a dressmaker could add a panel if needed. She ended up 5 months preggo and her original dress did still fit but the extra material was money well spent for the peach of mind! We ended up using that material to wrap the BM's bouquets & it looked great!

ha! we found out a month ago that our bridesmaid (fh's sil) is pregnant and is due october. our wedding is september. we had to order the dress 1 size bigger and buy extra material.

Well you say you are going to order the dresses in June....if she is not pregnant by that point, I would just order the dress you chose 1 size bigger, just in case (she'd be about 6 months if she got prego that month)....

I had one bm prego (6 1/2 months) & she ordered a size bigger, but she was so tiny you couldn't even tell she was pregnant.

I'd stay away from the rush ordering...due to a situation out of my control we had to rush order all my bm dresses & it ended up costing an extra $90. per dress!

i have my moh who is preg and due in august i also have 2 bm preg to one due tomorrow and one due in june. they all got the same dresses i didn't get them specail dresses. the dresses i chose fit everyone preg or not very nicely and flattering. by my wedding no-one will be preg but it is during the planiig time makeing it kind hard for me when we went to puck dresses but hat went smoothe i thought it would of been a problem. the only thng is i got 3 babies showers to attend now plus christening too. besides my friend mooshyboo showwr i am planning and her wedding too mixed in there. i got a busy 6 months ahead of me. then i got a cousin due 2 days after my wedding . theres another baby shower to add thats 4. arghhhhhhhhh were am i getting the money!!!!!!!!! :

Our wedding: 10/7/07
FSIL (and BM) due date: 9/23/07

I told her it was completely up to her if she wanted to stay in it or not and she said she did. I told the woman where I ordered the Bill Levkoff about the pregnancy and she suggested ordering the BM dress about 4 sizes bigger than what my FSIL was originally measured for prior to her starting to gain any weight from the pregnancy.

According to the seamstress, it is a lot easier for them to take the dress in than make it larger. There is also not a lot of beadwork on the dress that would need to be moved around either. Also, the alts are capped for them, so no matter how much work is done, she'll only pay $55 for the alts.
