BM dress take 2
Its been a busy morning. I started typing this at 9 but it's taken me 3 hours to finish my thoughts.
OK so my sister and I did end up going out yesterday to look at dresses. (Many of you know the dilemma/drama of plus size dresses).
It was MUCH better than the first time we were looking but no decision was made.
I walked around and didn't really see anything in Macy's so we went to Davids Bridal. MUCH better than the last time I went. OMG I can't believe how much it really does vary there. It was completely empty around 6:30. The woman that was working with us totally helped us and gave advice on what my sister should try on. We saw a few things she could actually try on and liked a couple of them. My sister is extremely top heavy so I didn't like the V-neck as much but they mentioned you could probably take a strip of fabric and put add it into kinda block the bustline. It might look nice like that.
If she goes with something from there she will probably do a shrug of some sort instead of a shawl.
After we were done, we went to Bridal Suite in Centereach. I'm not sure offhand who recommended them from here but they didn't really have many plus sizes to try on. We did see a few separates to try on that weren't too bad. We got there around 7:30 and it was TOTALLY empty. At first the woman ignored me and was like, oh the dresses are over there take a look. As soon as I mentioned someone suggested the place, she perked up and decided to help us. . We might look further into Impressions but I'm not sure.
My mother might try to go out with us next week but its going to be really hard. She broke her ankle last week and is supposed to stay off her feet for 6-8 weeks (of course which complicates her looking).
I attached the 2 from DB. What do you think? I would probably do Cabernet or Wine. I'm sure some of you are doing these are well
