BM dress - UPDATE.....!!!!!

OK after all my searching,,,,yesturday i went to wedding center and bridal plaza?? in centerreach.

2 of the BM do not mind spending the money and also felt dresses cost about that now a-days, and at least they can were the top again. i am not sure how my MOH feels for sure.

[FYI...Wedding center in only $40 cheaper. Levkof did not do the separates I liked.]

Now i need to find out if Lazaro is willing to ship 1 dress to AZ, if all ordered the same. So that salon will do alterations.

THANKS FOR ALL THE TIPS!!!!!

Re: HOLY SHIT.....7 hours or searching, 4 salons later,,,,,& still NO BM dress - HELP ME!!!!!

So we went back to Renata's (poor saleslady I think wanted to run) and narrowed it to this
MOH (Top Champagne/ Bottom Dusty Rose or all Dusty Rose)

BM - in all dusty Rose

I ideally would like something that sets MOH apart,,,,
BETTER YET, does anyone have suggestions, or a designer like the Lazaro or TAFETA ???

find the dress then get it on line, my bm dresses were 210 in the store and 135 on line including shipping and tax, they brought them to the local dry cleaners and got then altered..... I think the site was Isaidyes.com.......

Danielle...I looked on line....no good. The website you suggested says they went backrupt.

P.S. I do have to add that for my FSILs wedding I spent $250 on a bright FUSHIA dress I can never wear again + her requested ($60) closed toed-dyed shoes no one could even see. (plus $200 shower)

omg that is quite a dress, I would look around on line, maybe my place went bankrupt b/c they were cheap. Burtons had the dress for 170 still cheaper than my place, try burtons first....

Did they say that the dress was to expensive? Or is it you who just decided that? You could chip in a bit as part of your Thank-You gift. just a suggestion!

I love the 2nd BM dress you found its very similar to the $$ Lazarro especially since you were going to add straps. I actually think the cut of the top is more flattering. You could easily add a flower if you want that look. I think its very kind of you to look after your BP's wallet.

Have you checked other bridal stores to see how they would compete for your business?
You could call Burton's in Huntington. They gave me $200 off my dress, they would probably work with you for your BM's.

I hope I'm not confusing you, but have you looked at any Bill Levkoff dresses? My girls bridesmaids dresses were only $184! Their dresses are a tad more reasonable in price and they have a huge selection. Maybe you'll see something you like!

what I loved about the 1st (lazaro) is the dogwood/pink ***iridescent taffeta***, and that I could mix and match, and the flower would tie together the BM to the MOH ivory top.

With the 2nd dress (Alfred Angelo), the MOH top would be champagne, bottom rose, BM all rose.

Do I make sense???

Burton's does not carry

Jenny, Burton's didn't carry MY dress but they are still able to order it!
My other suggestion is RK Bridal in NYC. HUGE selection and more reasonable than most of LI.

Try Blanchess in East Rockaway

I second RK Bridal- they are very reasonable. You can go to their website or call them to see if they carry the dress and what their price is- they will give it over the phone. I don't know if you want to run into NYC but Bloomingdales in NYC has BM dresses on the rack- you can just pick them out and buy them- if not you can order them. And if it's during a coupon time, they will give you 20% off!

problem, I do not see lazaro on RK website, plus I really doubt the girls will go into the city & plus my sister is in AZ, and she does not want to have to then find a seamstress there.

I guess I am left with not having it, or asking if they'd pay. I'd don't think my sister/MOH wants to.

Anyone know of anyother tafeta separates that can be mixed in colors????

Thank you for all the suggestions.

Try Netbride.com. They had great prices and usually deliver several weeks earlier. Would definately recommend going to the website and sending them an e-mail for a quote.

I would go with the Alfred Angelo. Your color choices will look beautiful in that gown.

IMO, $270 is not alot for a dress. It looks like a dress that they can wear again.

I agree with Kelly6273 - try Bill Levkoff. Bridal Suite in Centereach has a good selection of his stuff and knock-off's. You can also try mackenziemichaels (also at Bridal Suite and online at http://www.mackenziemichaels.com/index.html)
They do knockoff's of more expensive designers.

I love Lazaro myself but they are so much more expensive. I don't think I could ask my girls to pay for Lazaro either. One of my BM's & I fell in love with one that was like $252 so we ruled it out.
