BM dress : UPDATED!!

ok, so recently i have been thinking of changing my BM dresses to a tea length. i think it looks really nice, it will also be hot and they have a better chance to wear again. also, my one BM who i was concerned about being uncomfortable and self conscoius in a starpless short dress bc of weight issues is having the bypass this summer. BUT this brings me to a new concern. my MOH (sister) has a huge tattoo on the side of her left leg. it goes from her knee to her ankle. its not completely covered but it is tattooed A LOT. she also has another tattoo on the back of her right calf. the tattoos themself are not ofensive at all (hearts, stars, and flowers) so my question is will it look bad or shall i say trashy if there are in short dresses and her tattoo is shwing?? or should i go for the same exact dress but long??
sorry so long.

short dress

long dress

the dress will be in the euro celdaon/eur ivory combo

also, opinions on the dresses too....PLEASE!!!

Thanks soooo much!!!

Re: BM dress

In reality your BMs probably won't wear the short dress any more often than the long one. I like both of the styles that you picked, but I would just go with your gut. For me, I'm having long dresses because it will be an evening wedding. Good luck!

Re: BM dress

Yeah, I agree. I don't know of any occasion that anyone actually wore one again, although I really like that tea length one, and think someone might wear that again. I think I would! They're both VERy pretty. Sorry I don't have a strong answer, I just think it's up to you.

I like long dress. I think it is very elegant.

Re: BM dress

im voting for the long dress ... the reason is bc i think most of your guests will be wearing a long dress - its more appropriate for a night wedding. The long dress is more classy and conservative.

I like the longer one better Carole. But, go with your gut, and choose what you want. It's your day anyway!!

Re: BM dress

I agree, I like the long. I think long dresses also save the drama over shoes. YOu dont have to be real anal about matching shoes when you can't even see them. I agree too that the length wont make it wearable again or not.

If you truly like both, let the girls vote? Its a special day for them too!

Re: BM dress

Personally I like the long dress more. It is just mor eelegant and in my opinion much more formal. I would only do a tea length dress if I were to havea n outdoor wedding ( ceremony) . I hope this helped...

Re: BM dress

i really like tea length dresses.
I am also on the fence as whether to have long or tea length but I think i am leaning more towards the tea length.
I am having an evening wedding and from the pics i see, tea length does not make an evening wedding less formal.

Maybe your bm can get a tattoe cover up kit.
either dress is a great choice!

good luck!

Re: BM dress

a friend of mine is in a wedding in two weeks and that exact dress/color in tea length is what they are wearing and aside from sizing mishaps ..the dresses look gorgeous! good choice!

Re: BM dress

I love both dresses, but if you are having an evening wedding, go with the long, plus, I don't think the tea length dress with the full tattoos are going to look apprpriate.. but that's just my opinion.. follow your heart, it's your decision in the end

Re: BM dress

I like the long dress better. I think the sash across the waist works a lot better in the longer length then the shorter one. What do your BM's think?

Re: BM dress

I actually tried on both of those dresses in those exact colors this weekend at Bridal Reflections.

My mom, sis and I all preferred the long dress.

Hope that helps.

Re: BM dress

My BM has two huge tattoos on her forearms. I don't think it looks trashy, but it's all a matter of preferance. If you want her to cover them up and still wear a tea length dress, airbushing can cover up tats. It'll just cost her a little extra $$$.

Re: BM dress

my vote for the long dress .more elegant in my opinion. i like the long dress very pretty. i am not a fan of tea length for weddings. just my opinion.

Both dresses are beautiful, but I like the long one better. It's classier and more elegant looking, IMO. Gook Luck!

Re: BM dress

I have to say that I am partial to the long dress. This the same dress I picked for my BM's. They are wearing Euro Lilac w/ Euro Violet sashes. I love Bill Levkoff
