BM dress worries

BM dress worries

Lately I am loosing sleep over my bridesmaid dresses. I really like them but my only concern is that the back goes down pretty low. I think that some of my girls are uncomfortable about it because of their weight. Will it be ok or did I totally choose the wrong dress?

I would find out if their comfortable with it. Just to make sure. They can also wear shawl and tie it in the back to cover the back.

I agree...if I were bigger i'd be thinking of back fat (i think about it now!) It will also show up in your pictures. but like it was mentioned if you love the dress then see if you can do something to cover the back for pictuers? How about a bra for the bigger girls?

My only concern would be the fact that they cant wear a bra...that may be the most uncomfortable part

I like the dress is very beautiful the best way to find out if your girls are uncomfortable ask them and if it makes you feel better you can get them shauls to cover up there backs

AT THIS POINT IM FREAKING OUT SO BAD, THAT I AM ALMOST READY TO BUY SOMETHING ELSE AND PAY FOR IT MYSELF AND TAKE THOSE DRESSES AS A LOSS. ONE BRIDESMAID IS A SIZE 20 THE OTHER IS A 22.

It's up to you - what did the girls say when they saw the dresses?

It's important to consider the girls in the dress, not the dress on a size 0 model.....

TALK to your girls about it and ask them straight up if they are comfortable. Personally i wouldnt even be able to wear a dress like that, if a girl has a big chest she needs to wear a bra and with the back so low its hard, there are bras that do go very low in the back but many dont support them well. This might not be an issue though for your girls, i dont know

With that being said, yes I'd def be concerned with the low back and the fact they cant wear a bra or have much support.
I'd be uncomfy wearing a dress like that since i KNOW i need support. You should def. talk it over with them and see what they think

I hate that every dress is a size 6 when you try things on in the store. I wish they made all sizes so they can actually see how it feels. It looks great on a hanger! Sorry for the vent. I tried on the dress and every1 loved it but I'm a size 4. $%^& it!

Re: BM dress worries

I think your girls have a responsibiltiy too when picking out dresses to voice thier concerns.....since you included them in the process, they should tell you if they are uncomfortable with the style....

maybe they aren't worried about it?

talk to them directly. - maybe a pashmina or wrap would be a quick, cheap solution.

Re: BM dress worries

I'd be really worried about a bra and i'm on the smaller side....plus back fat of course. Is it too late? Did the dresses already come in? Maybe if you call the bridal store, they can use the money towards another dress and just cancel that order?

I understand what someone was saying about the girls being involved and should have said something but they may have not wanted to hurt your feelings. Also, since you're so tiny and probably looked great in it, people tend to have unrealistic expectations about how they'll look in it.....I know I do that sometimes.

Ehhh honestly...it's a beautiful dress, but the back does go down pretty low....some of your bms might be concerned with back fat...and honestly, the dress probably wouldn't look as good on real girls that might have back fat as it does on the model that doesn't....

Re: BM dress worries

Honestly, I am plus sized and would find that inappropriate for my self to wear.

etd- I am a size 16/18 and smaller than your BM's I would discuss it with them..

Re: BM dress worries

eek.

pretty dress, but yes, even me, size 6 with ta-tas, wouldn't feel comfortable wearing that dress.

Like Denise said, it's tought to find a low bra with enough supprt to make that dress work.
