bm dresses

hey girls, i was wondering if you could help me out, i am so indicisive about bm dresses, there are so many nice ones, could you post dresses for me that you like or are using? TIA

I'm thinking of this dress, but of course I haven't made up my mind about my own so it's not really written in stone yet. But I love it,and the girls will be able to wear it for other occassions as well, such as dinner parties, and other affairs. They loved it when i showed them!
If i could change anything about the dress, i would remove the organza ruffles on the top.
BTW it's a Monique.

I'm using this one by Lazaro but have not yet decided on which color....either dogwood pink or antique rose. This is definately a dress that they can have cut to a different length and where to another party - I love it and so does the bridal party!!!!

My girls tried on a bunch of Jim Hjelm dresses but they didn't have any in that color, very different. Are you letting your BM's get from the separates collection or do they get to choose from any dress and or separates?

that's actually where i went to scout out the color options. hctb carries a bunch of very nice dress lines, so i tried on a bunch of different designers. i really liked the lazaro dresses, but my dilemma is that i've got 2 bms who will be only 15, and i found the lazaro dresses to be a bit too... mature. also, lazaro dresses seem to look terrific on thinner builds... but i've got a couple of bms who are a bit on the bigger side... so i'm pretty sure i will go with the jim hjelm.

about the separates or dresses, i will give the bms leeway to get absolutely anything they want, as long as they are wearing patina-colored satin. as long as we order the dresses together we can make sure the dye lot is the same... i just want everyone to be comfortable.

i am also thinking about possibly doing the custom made dresses. deb, you mentioned you were thinking about it. do you have any more info about it?

hoping you don't take this the wrong way... at the risk of being forward...have you looked into the price of that gown? since it's a wedding gown (and a monique, at that) i wouldn't be surprised if it costs upwards of $5000. obviously everyone's financial situation is different, but if i asked my bms to pay that much i think they would laugh me off the planet. or perhaps the universe

No it's not forward at all. I really don't know how else to answer your question though, i guess all i can say is that they can afford it. Plus they will be able to wear it for other affairs as well. Thanks for asking.

I'm doing these. The first one is the MOH, the second one is the BM dresses, and the last one is to show you the color that I'm doing. I love the way the first one fits on me. It's really flattering to the figure. My sister was going to choose the second one, but then she tried on the first one and she loved the way it looked on her. Damn, now I'm wondering if she's going to look too good.

Oh these dresses are by Jim Hjelm, and the color I'm getting is capri (the turquoise one).

Hi DebMaher - Thanks for the compliment! I actually did just that - narrowed it down....originally it was a totally different dress in a gold color but when I finally saw it on a few of my bridesmaids, I just didn't lke it - and the gold was not as deep as what I was looking for. I saw this dress and loved it on all my BM - it's actually very complimenting (there all like size 5-6 and under) plus they can wear it again for another affair and make it shorter. Now I am deciding on the color......I wanted something different and most likley going with lazaro's antique rose color.....we'll see, color is not set in stone.
