Re: BM dresses $

I want a Jim Helm dress for the BM Im in love with it! I know its a bit pricey but I told them already they seemed to be ok with that amount. If it becomes an issue i'll pay for part of the dresses and i'll pay for alterations...hair make up and shoes im not telling them to do anyhing special, i want them to feel good so they can pick what they want so they can spend on that.

What Jim Hjelm dress are you looking at??? My girls are in Watters- the dresses are around 200 ish...

What color did you decide to go with??? Red or tiffany

The 2 dresses I found is about 150-160. Call around and see who has the dress for less. I wouldn't do any more then 160. I dont think its right to make your friends/family to go poor.

And most dresses I have seen are not too bad.

Depends on the color/ 'wearability'. If they can wear it again and if they can wear shoes they already have. That could merit a high priced dress.
I am trying to keep mine under 175 b/c I was just in two weddings where I paid 180-260 for the dress and up to 100 for alterations!
Plus shoes, bra, hair...
It gets ridiculous

Good Luck

If you're interested in Jim Hjelm BM dresses, definitely check out RK bridal and Pearl's Place. My girls got their JH dresses from Pearl's Place - they retailed for $260, but PP's price was $158!

Where is Pearl's Place?

Because I am using JH and thats what they told me $260, which I thought was a lot but I would love to get the same dress for $158.

TIA

I think anything over $300 is a lot....but if I fell in love with a more expensive dress for my girls I would help them pay for it.

I would say anything between $140-$175 is a fair amount because then you have to look at they also have to pay for Alterations, shoes, any kind of undergarments they would need.

I think $250 should be the most they pay for the dress. For my brother's wedding we ordered Bill Levkoff and I paid $225 with alterations included. I'm going to the same place in Flushing for my BM, their prices already include any alterations they have to make

Re: BM dresses $

im trying to find a dress that is at the most 150, because they also have to worry about alerations, shoes, and hair/makeup for the day that it adds up quickly.

I'm staying under 150. I don't want to put a burden on any of my girls. Weddings are costly and being in one is even more costly.

Pearl's Place is in Lousiana. Definitely give them a call - they do price quotes over the phone. They were great to work with!
