It was so amazing, yesterday, I went with my 7 girls and FG to pick out our BM dresses and I was so worried it wouldn't go smoothly, but it was so the opposite. It went so well. Everyone agreed on the fabric and then the dress itself and then we all agreed on the color choice. And I'm having a PURPLE wedding. 5 of the girls are wearing a Victorian Purple and the other two are wearing an Amethyst purple, it looked so nice together and the dress is so elegant and will look so nice with mine. I can't tell you how happy I am. It was such a nice day. I made them brownies and we went out for lunch afterwards, it was really great. So those of you who have not gone to get your BM dresses, don't fear it went so smoothly and I went with all the girls.

That is really great, I only have 5 girls and I can't imagine going with all of them! Did you have specific ones in mind first? Or just let them grab dresses?

I had a couple in mind, but when I got there, I just grabbed a couple of each fabric and try to find ones that would look good on everyone. I had everyone try on a dress and we would decide which fabric we liked first and once we decide on the fabric, everyone at that point seemed to just love the dress, so I made sure everyone tried it on. And it was that easy,they all agreed on that dress and even the flower girl picked her dress. I am so happy. I really did not expect it to go that well with that many girls. It was such a great experience.
Next month I have to go back to Macy's to order my dress. I'm so excited!!!

That's great it went so well. I have 12 girls who live in different states and all over NY so I won't be able to do this but I might go with a few girls in smaller groups.
I love purple, it's going to look great!

I tried to narrow it down by the type of dress, I wanted them in an A line since it flatters almost anyone. But other then that I wanted them to pick out the dress they all loved. I just couldn't believe how easy that was. And I'm so excited, I have my colors and I can start planning the flowers and everything else.

Does anyone know how long it takes for BM dresses to come in? My sister and FSIL are preggers ans are due the same week in sept 08 if they order in oct/nov do you think they will get it 5 months?
