Originally I was going to go with my sister/MOH and pick out like 5 dresses and let everyone agree on one from those 5. But what looks good on my sister probably won't look good on all of my BP.
Did you go with all of your BM's at once? Was it a total freeforall? I don't want any fights to break out over BM's dresses.

I did go with 7 of my 8 girls and it was not bad. MY two maids of honor had done some searching on there own and sent me pics and I gave my opinion. We went to a bridal expo at the westchester county center and got the name of a bridal store.... we made an appt and a week or so we all went.
I gave them no rules - just that I wanted the group to photograph well - but they did not all have to be in the same dresses....
We were there for 3 hrs and ordered the dresses

I have three girls and took them all out to lunch one weekend and then we all went to look at dresses. We went to three salons that day and they just went through the racks and pulled out dresses they liked. We all agreed on one and then a month or two later I came to find out that FSIL didn't really like it....... I was a little annoyed that nothing was said that day because I told them to be honest, we could keep looking, but they all insisted that was the dress soooooooo next round I said F-it I'm just going with my MOH and the dress we pick is the dress we pick!!! We ended up picking a dress that the others girls really liked too so it all worked out!

We never really looked. I was dress shopping for myself (hit about 10 shops in the course of a week) and got tired of trying on dresses. I told my sis/MOH and the bridesmaid who was with me to 'try on a few' so we could switch roles. We happened to be at the bridal shop with the least selection of any place and they tried on 3 dresses.
My sis is super tiny and has a great body so everything looked great on her. My BM is also beautiful but is the 'biggest' of my girls (still not a big girl by any means) and some dresses weren't flattering on her. One dress looked amazing on both of them, they both fell in love with it, it came in a color I loved, so we just decided that was the dress! My other girls saw a photo and agreed it was a nice dress so they ordered it.
For a little while I regretted picking something so impulsively but I loved my BM dresses, and so did all of the girls.

i went with my sister/MOH.. and i picked a dress out that i liked and when i spoke to the bridal attendant they said this would be flattering on any body type. part of my wants to give the girls some choices or get some more opinions, but i also don't want it to become a big pool of ideas and having too many peoples opinions to worry about... we'll see!!

i wasnt even looknig at bm dresses but while i was shoping for my dress my moh happen to come across a dress n loved it when she put it on, when i told one of my other Bm about it she said that she wore a very simlar dress to a wedding last year n loved it so she was sold so i just went up with my other 2 Bm showed them it they loved it and thats it.. lol I kinda thought we would all go togehter but it just worked out totlay differntly but it worked! haha

I think I found my BM dresses but I'm not a 100% sure yet. I went with four of my girls -(out of 7). They all tried on dresses I had already picked out that I liked. When it came to the one that I think is the one I also tried it on because I think i'm the same size as one of my OOT BM's. I sent pics to two of them and they both like it a lot. I have one more to send it to. I asked them to try it on when they have a chance but's its a style that will look good on everyone. I was worried about giving everyone options and letting them pick their own but then i realized with 7 BM 's and a MOH I might make myself crazy.

I just took my two sisters who are my two MOH. I had them help me pick. If I took all 7 girls, an agreement would have never been made!

I did the same (and have the same number of BM's) - and then had to hear it from a few of the other girls that I didn't bring them Who needs to get 7 different opinions from girls who are all different shapes and sizes!!!

I went with my three bridesmaids and my maid of honor. I have a dress in mind but was open to suggestions if they all hated it. They all ended up loving the dress. I think going with an open mind and letting them know you are open to ideas makes it easier. I know my girls hate being told what to do! Best of luck!

Thanks girls... I've sent my BMs a few pics and they're all like, 'I like it! But I have to see what it looks like on.' lol
I have a feeling I'll just narrow it down to like 5 dresses and let them fight it out between them.

I have my 5 sisters in the party and I let them pick out any dress they wanted, it didnt matter to me cause I wanted them to feel good and look beautful so i didnt want them all to have to wear the same dress if they didnt want to cause they all have different shapes but it was so easy cause they all ended up picking out 2 that they all loved...so it was super easy! :)

I picked a color, a designer, a length and a fabric and told them to pick whatever they watned. The only thing I said was that no one could get the same dress as my sister who is MOH. My 2 BMs wound up picking the same dress and my sister has yet to choose hers (which is driving me CRAZY!). I hate seeing photos of poor BMs in dresses that are clearly not for their body types.

I was thinking of doing that too but Groomzilla doesn't like that idea.

I had a few that I liked tons...but decided to let my MOHs decide... When we went, they fell in love with one that I didn't care too much about online. But in person was great! Before ordering any, I made sure the rest of my BP liked them...sure enough they ddi, now they are ALL on order!!
