BM dresses and Hair trials?

I'm seeing a whole lot of 2011 ladies have their trials and BM dresses picked out and ordered. Am I running behind with timing? I'm taking it slow because I'm thinking I have 10 months to go. But now I don't know???

Should I start really getting serious with BM dress choices now?

Don't panic. You are fine. Alot of the gals on here are way ahead for the game. BM dresses should be ordered about 5-6 months out and hair trials you just have to leave yourself about 4 months to find a good one.

i wouldn't panic just start looking and getting ideas...my cousin is getting married 6/11 and she's ordering her bm dresses in november however, she already has ideas of what she would like. Also as far as trials go there are many people who book up fast so i would start getting in contact with people and being sure they have your date available especially if there is something in particular that you are interested in using.

I'd definatley start looking for bm dresses now; the process for finding the dress can take a couple weeks betweeen appointments (if not longer) and not to mention, if bridesmaids are involved in the decision process and then getting all of their measurments in. It can take a couple months for them to arrive and keep in mind the timing for alterations - you want to have at least 2 week of worry free time (if possible) in regards to the bm dresses... i.e. get your girls all set so you only have to worry about yours...so think of your wedding as 9 months away. Dont panic though you still have time not to rush

Regarding the hair trial you still have time depending on wether you want to go to a salon and/or want someone to travel to you. Depending on the popularity of the hairstylist sometimes they can book 10-12 months in advance. If you have your heart set on specific person(s) i'd start looking into trials now not to mention especially if the first trial doesn't pan out. However, if you don't have your heart set on specifics you still have a good 4 months or so until you should start getting really serious about your decision. With that being said - I highly reccomend Angela's Hair Design !!! She is super talented and will take her time with you at the trial to ensure your satisfaction. She will travel to you on the day of your wedding and she has excellent pricing. Fm if you want more info. HTH.

We got married 8 1/2 months after we got engaged, so you are FINE! We got all the vendors we wanted.

I didn't get a hair person until a few months before the wedding. So you have time. It's definitely nice to get a head start, but book your major vendors first (RH, church, photo, dj, your dress).

Start looking for bridesmaid dresses online or at places, and maybe make a list of hair people you want to try, or try your own salon. I tried a salon first, hated it and then with Jen the Hair Genie (highly recommend her). But i didnt book hair until like 2 months before.

I just started looking at BM dresses this week - can't order until January bc one of my BM's is having a baby in Nov...also have 2 high school girls who could still grow...the dress shop said that is plenty of time.

I haven't even THOUGHT about hair yet! Don't worry.
