When are you girls starting to look? I want J. Crew for BM dresses but don't know if I should wait in case colors/dresses change on their website..

I'm starting a year out - I don't want styles to change and me 2nd guess my self later on if I start too early.
It's important for me to have my dress first and then pick the BM's dresses - I don't want them to be similiar but I would like them to have some kind of details bringing them together (PS - this all makes sense in my head, but not sure if it will work out lol).
Colors and styles will certainly change - so I'm guessing that is always a risk. BUT if you really find one that you love, I always believe you should go with your first instinct.

i already started looking for my BM dresses. just to get an idea of styles and prices and if the colors I want come in the style dress I want. As for my dress, Im going to start after the new year. I have a bunch of dresses I like so Im not wanting one particular style.
Cant wait to start dress shopping!!!

I've looked at dresses but I am not going to start making decisions or even have my girls go dress shopping with me until I have ordered my own dress (which won't be until about a year out).

I probably won't bring my girls to go BM shopping until about a year out. I'm just getting different ideas of what I like right now and then when I go with my BMs I'll see what they like best.

I already found one that I love..but I need to see it in person & have the girls see it & try it on. But I think I'll take them in the spring to get some real ideas.

im going to start to look after new years. as far as bm dresses im going to have different ones for each girl i will pick out a few and leave it up to them.

im starting to look for my dress first starting in Jan I hope I find a dress the first time out not looking forward to this part. For the BM dresses i wont start looking for until March or april.

im starting for my dress in may (14mos b4 wedding) then the girls - maybe aug or sept...
call me crazy, but the girls fell in love with a dress when we went shopping so they ordered them, and im okay with it, everyones got a different point of view on this, i feel safe knowing if they get delayed in being made, well still have them early enough that if alterations need to be made the girls will be okay!

I feel that picking the BM dresses is one of the most exciting parts of planning the wedding because then you know your colors and can start looking at bouquets, centerpieces, table colors and all that stuff!
I did a lot of online research already but didn't actually go to the stores to look at the dresses. I fell in love with 2 out of 6 I had picked out and I am waiting until after the holidays to see them in person. However, I did call the manufacturer to see if they would be going out of stock soon and thankfully, my most favorite is a best seller so that's good news for me!
For some reason, I am more excited about the BM dresses than mine! Not sure why but maybe because I don't want to look at pictures of my dress, I just want to go to the stores and start trying on!
