BM dresses at David's Bridal?

Do they have them in stock, or do they order them? I am in a BP and I want to know if I have to go twice...Had horrible experience at the one in Carle Place while looking for my wedding gown...

Re: BM dresses at David's Bridal?

I'm not sure..all i know is that when the dress is in you have to take it home and store it in your house...hence why i didnt go there...i dont wnat my dress in my house until like 2 days before my wedding...my cats would find it and destroy it lol

Re: BM dresses at David's Bridal?

They usually have to order them for you. I'm in my cousins bridal party next september, I already had to order my dress and they made me pay for it in full.
If you decide to order from them, be very careful and very on top of things. They screwed up our orders royally, they got the girls confused, deleted orderes, changed sizes, it was a mess.

Re: BM dresses at David's Bridal?

Did they try to get you to order the dress too large? I want to have as little alterations done as possible, and when I tried on bridal gowns there they were telling me I needed 2-3 sizes larger than what I bought elsewhere which was a perfect fit...That is why I hate ordering--I would so rather walk out with it...

Re: BM dresses at David's Bridal?

I just went to the one in Carle Place for because my daughter is in my brothers wedding in May and she had to order her BM dress. She ordered it last week and it will be in in Dec. The place itself was horrible and dirty and the girls were unprofessional and rude.

Who was the salesgirl? The salesperson that I had was the sweetest. While we where there, we saw a really nasty person.

Re: BM dresses at David's Bridal?

I went to my first David's Bridal when I was visiting my MOH in Chicago - and it was awesome!! I loved it. It was just as nice as any other bridal salon that I've been too. I love the separates and they are SOO affordable!

Then when I came home I eventually went to the one in Carle Place and was totally appalled! It was awful and they hardly had any BM dresses displayed.

One of these days I want to take a ride to the one in NJ and check that one out. When I was in Chicago they had every size so you could try them on and order OR buy off the rack.

There are a ton of negative reviews about Carle Place on here, but I have seen a few good ones. I think Patti08 got here there - her wedding is in 2 weeks.

Re: BM dresses at David's Bridal?

I almost had a disaster of an experience at DB but my MOH is the best. Her and I went there one night after I got off work to try on gowns. When I got there I was told that I needed an appointment to try on and that I'd have to come back another night. After a little arguing with the girl my MOH demanded a supervisor who quickly apologized and got me helped right away. After that my experience was wonderful. My girl was sooo helpful and nice.
