Hey ladies...so, I rally the gals together to go BM dress shopping and they try on two they like, however, most of them are really busty (REALLY) and one of the dresses was a halter that was really too sexy for its purpose (a twilight temple wedding in August). The second dress was more conservative, but strapless with the option of having straps on. It looked flattering on all, but one of the girls only wants to be sexy...the other girls tried to tell her and she was not nice about it, but then I said I would like the other one better. I told them from the beginning they did not have to wear the same dress, but they all like the idea of wearing the same dress, since they were all flattering in it. The one girl relents to the one dress on the way home, and then I come home to an email with an expensive BM dress website and suggestions in satin after I said chiffon would work better since I am wearing a lace dress...I am trying not to be a Bridezilla, but is it so much to ask for a tasteful, conservative type dress in a fabric with many choices?? FH and MOH say put my foot down, and I know, but argh..this is getting me so agitated because suggestions are being made that I don't care for and I don't need a porn fest on the bima with me on my wedding day! Ok, now I feel like this is a temper tantrum so I'm going to stop, but, honestly, I have been in two weddings and realized it was a dress for ONE DAY! :) Happy New Year to you and yours and thanks for listening!
I just looked at the picture of the dress....ITS AMAZING. I would have been THRILLED if asked to wear that dress....though I don't have a big bust....it is SO NICE.
Girls, thank you so much! I emailed my bridal party in a tasteful way (FM me if you'd like a copy, if you need the same kind of assistance!) and got one favorable response. I showed it to another recent bride, and she said the same. Thanks for the encouragement..I could understand if I asked the girls to wear polka dots and big butt bows, but as you can see, I'm fair ;) I definitely started on the route of them having different dresses, but when they all tried this and it worked, the song changed!
